The 2003–2006 Limited Series

These works developed from a limited series begun between 2003 and 2006 through the convergence of botanical photography, river stone, naturally fallen wood, and internal illumination.

They were not conceived as lamps in the conventional sense, but as illuminated sculptural objects in which image, material, structure, and atmosphere form a single body.

The collection now takes two principal forms. Lithic Forms pair original photographic shades with substantial river stones gathered from Río Barbilla, Costa Rica, while Organic Forms extend the same illuminated language through naturally fallen wood, roots, and other found structures.

Collected from the natural world, photographed, printed, assembled, and brought into light, the work moves between physical mass and inner radiance. By day, each piece holds its sculptural and architectural character. By night, internal illumination shifts the image and activates a different field of experience.

Across both bodies of work, each piece remains materially grounded, individually resolved, and singular in presence.
